Assembly Phase Start

Dear Backers,

We hope this update finds everyone well. We are glad to bring the exciting good news to all you patient and understanding backers. The assembly phase will start on Wednesday October 18th. Finally the long wait is coming  an end. Assembly  and final QC will take about 2 weeks, hence shipping date will be at end of October. 

A few backers have asked about the QC, so here is how they are done from our assemblers:

1-Entrance Control: 

Visual checks on Cases, back cases, crowns and dials are done under working light at 30 CM distance from eyes

2-Intermediate Visual Control: 

Visual control of all watches cased up before case back closing (stem length, dust etc...)

3- Water Resistance Control: 

ATM control will be performed 100% for all watches assembled at 10 ATM. 

4-24/48 Hours Control:

After time setting, watches will pass a minimum 48 hours running control.

5- Visual and Functional Inspection:

Functional control and visual inspection for all watches fully assembled.

Dear Backers,

Thank you all for your patience.

Please accept our apologies for late update, as we only put updates when we have actual news to bring to your attention. Since many of you are eagerly waiting for your watches and updates we are trying our best to communicate with the factory to bring news and finally the watches to you.

The factory informed us that the watches issues are being fixed and should be ready by September 15th, then the following week assembly will start. 

We will inform about accurate shipping date ones the assembly phase starts. 

We understand your frustrations, as we are even more frustrated about the delays and the manufacturing error. We are trying full force to make sure that things go as planned, but the unexpected can never be foreseen. Rest assured you will be getting your watches soon and you will be more than pleased with them.

As for the Moon model, we will send you pictures once we see the sample. We are waiting for the supplier to send us pictures when it is done.

Please accept our apologies again for the delays and rest assured that you will receive your watches and the extra goodies.

Watch Shipment / Moon Coin / Moon Model

Dear Backers,

Thank you all for your patience since our last update. They say time goes as fast as speed of light. But to us it seem much faster.It seems like our last update was posted yesterday, but it has been a month already! 

We have some exciting  :) and some not so exciting news :(

Watch Assembly: 

The assembly line detected an error while trying to assemble the watches. They just sent us the news a few days ago stating that the interior of the movements are not the exact fit for the movement holders and the movements. So they sent the parts back to their manufacturing department to have them checked / fixed. We are anxiously waiting to see how long it will take to have them fixed. We should get an answer from them early next week on how soon they can have them ready again. We will you all know about the news as soon as we hear back from them. This came as a shock to us! We are deeply sorry and extremely surprised  about this hick up.

Moon Coin: 

The picture of a moon coin sample just came to us and it looks great!

The moon coin is 70mm in diameter and approximately 2 mm thick with vintage nickle finish which makes it look historic just like the original story. Hope you will all love this as mush as we do.

Moon Model might come back!

We have not given up yet since our moon model supplier refused to make the moon for us. Since some of you still want to get the moon model, we kept on searching and contacting other suppliers until one finally agreed to our quantity. We are waiting for a sample to be made. If the sample quality and look is as good as the sample that we already have on hand, we will put the moon model back. If this happens, you will still get the moon coin with the moon model. In this case, the moon coin will be placed inside the box as a separate extra gift.  This however, will eliminate the extra strap that was replacing the moon model. We will let you know once we receive the news from the supplier. Fingers crossed. Again, this is not 100% yet until we are hear back from the supplier. 

That is all for now. We are eagerly waiting for the news from our supplier next week and will put another update as soon as we hear back from them. We apologise again for the unforeseen hick up and delay. Rest assured we are trying our best to expedite everything and making sure that all backers get a top quality watch.  Look at the bright side;t hey detected a minor issue that could lead to a major disaster. Waiting for a quality watch longer is better than getting a problematic watch sooner.

Assembly about to start, Finally :)

Dear Backers,

We hope everybody is enjoying the Summer. We all have been anxiously waiting for the watches to be delivered and we have good news for you. The assembly test of 2 watches were done last month, and we have just received them a few days ago, and are surprised by the quality. They are better than the prototypes we used for the KS campaign!

Below are a few pictures of both 42 and 46 mm watches.

 Assembly

The factory stated that the assembly will begin very soon, as early as next week (we are waiting for the green light). Once they begin, we will notify all backers about the news. So now we are counting short days for the start.

Moon Model 

As you all know, we offered a free Moon model with every watch to be shipped. The 3D printing company that made the model for us, is somewhat hesitant to proceed as they say the quantity is too high for their machine. This came at a surprise to us!

So the other option is to offer all backers to receive an extra genuine leather strap instead. The Bovarro Straps have $80 retail value whereas  the Moon model is much lower in value. We apologies for the inconvenience and hope will be acceptable to all backers. After all, it is a better value and use.

Address Change

If you have already moved or will be moving anytime in July / August, you can still change your address by signing in to you Backer Kit Survey and change the address.
